EPCs are required by Regulation before a building is marketed for sale or let. The Regulations are enforced by Local Trading Standards officers who have authority to issue fines for non-compliance.
The Commercial Energy Performance Certificate provides the following information:
- An Energy Perfomance Rating, presenting the energy efficiency of the building in a simple coloured bar chart form, similar to a ‘fridge rating’.
- A series of recommended improvements, with approximate payback periods and an indication of their impact on building carbon emissions.
We are keen to provide fee proposals for EPCs for more challenging buildings. For example those built and adapted in phases, each with their own particular energy efficiency characteristics.

We combine our Commercial EPC and quantity surveying expertise to offer cost advice on energy efficient improvements to improve value and sales potential. Likewise we can provide costings for capital improvements and long-term repairs or replacements where these are required for service charge agreements etc… We also have expert associates in the industry in the various design fields and in health and safety.
