Home Condition Reports

We draw on our extensive knowledge and experience to offer thorough and comprehensive reports. Our inspectors are supervised by a Chartered Surveyor experienced in working with existing buildings of all types.

Home Information Packs (HIPS) are required by Regulation before a home is marketed for sale or let. The Regulations are enforced by Local Trading Standards officers who have authority to issue fines for non-compliance.

Where condition is a selling point it may also be advantageous to include a Home Condition Report (HCR) in the HIP.

Alternatively HCRs provide an impartial comment on the condition of a home for a potential buyer and before they make a commitment. They are especially useful in respect to homes built in the late nineteenth and the first seventy years of the twentieth century that have not been well maintained or have been substantially modified.

We can recommend a Chartered Building Surveyor who has the specialist knowledge and expertise to report on homes built prior to this period, those of an unusual construction or those that are listed.
